In the second quarter of 2025, the top five News and Magazines applications on the Android platform in Europe showed varied performance trends, according to Sensor Tower.

Le Monde, Live News experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $147K by the end of June. Weekly downloads saw a gradual decline from 4.2K to 2.6K, while weekly active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at around 634K.

X (Formerly Twitter) maintained a consistent weekly revenue, closing at about $121K. The app's downloads varied, with a peak of 220K in early May, and active users remained robust, averaging around 33M throughout the quarter.

The Guardian - Live World News saw its revenue peak at $78K in early June. Downloads surged to over 10K in mid-May before stabilizing. Active users experienced a rise, reaching approximately 276K mid-quarter.

L’ÉQUIPE - actu, score, match observed a steady increase in revenue, reaching $52K by the end of June. Downloads and active users showed fluctuations, with downloads peaking at 9.6K in mid-June and active users averaging around 675K.

DER SPIEGEL - Nachrichten had a revenue increase, peaking at $42K by late June. The app maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 1.2K weekly, while active users hovered around 500K.
